Printer Offline or Not Found? How to Fix It
Work through these fixes in order for "printer offline", stuck jobs and printers your computer can't find.

Do the quick checks
The printer is on, has paper and shows no error. A wireless printer is on the same network as your device. A USB cable is firmly connected at both ends.
Restart in the right order
Turn off the printer. Restart the router and wait until it's fully online. Turn the printer on, then restart your computer or phone.
Clear stuck print jobs
Windows: Printers & scanners → your printer → Open print queue, then cancel all documents.
Mac: Printers & Scanners → your printer → Printer Queue…, then delete the jobs.
Turn off "Use Printer Offline" (Windows)
In the print queue window, open the Printer menu and untick Use Printer Offline.
Restart the Print Spooler (Windows)
Press Windows + R, type services.msc and press Enter. Right-click Print Spooler and choose Restart.
Check for a changed IP address
If the router gave the printer a new IP address, remove the printer and add it again. To prevent it happening again, set a DHCP reservation for the printer in your router.
Remove and re-add the printer
Delete it from your printer list and add it again with the Windows or Mac guide. On a Mac, Control-click the printer list and choose Reset printing system. This removes all printers.
Update drivers and firmware
Download the latest driver and firmware for your exact model from the manufacturer's official website only.
Be cautious of websites, pop-ups or phone numbers offering "printer support" that ask for payment, gift cards or remote access to your computer.
All done
